T mobile ad that we watched in lesson today -touches peoples emotions allows the ad to connect with the audience personally especially older/soppy people. Also discussed the reasons why companies consistently reinforce so much money in advertising e.g this ad was highly talked about after it was broadcasted, widespread in social media = brand awareness = T.M more popular.
We also discussed the BBC's current shows (X Factor, Strictly Come Dancing) and the reasons why Strictly has more viewers than X Factor. Also the reasons why the number of viewers tuned into a T.V show is so important. Both of these shows clashed on Friday 26th Sept.
The results: X Factor(ITV) 25.7% 5.8 million
Strictly (BBC) 28.5% 6.5 million
The above figures are important as they are relatively high figures of the population watching both shows. There are around 64.1million Brits atm which means that 10% of the population were watching Strictly Come Dancing. This is a significant figure as around 97% of households have a T.V according to TV licensing.co.uk and the statistics show that over half of the population watches these shows.
